Data Extraction using Automation Anywhere is very easily if we compare with other tool such as Blue Prism , Work fusion , UI path it's not so easy
In Work Fusion we can read the PDF by converting the PDF to HTML extra cost and extra effort .
Use case
1. Extract some data from the PDF such as First Name , Last Name etc
2 Pass these Information to another system may be Windows's, Web , Mainframe etc.
Automation Anywhere
1 . Open the AA client -- double click the PDF Integration
2 Select the option Extract Form field
3 Provide the PDF file path ( We can set this to be dynamic using variable
4 If PDF is password protected provide the user name and password we can also set the variable
5 Click on Add Button
6 PDF file will be uploaded and selected the value you want to extract and save it into variable
5 Pass the extracted value of variable in another application

ReplyDeleteI would like to understand , how we can do the below using RPA Express free version.
a) I need to download different invoices
b) i need to read the information on these invoices for validation in the form submitted. Like for example, whether the Invoice no in the PDF downloaded is the same as the Invoice number mentioned in the web form , where that particular invoice is attached.
c) these validations will be executed in a loop -(this we can do it)
The challenge is each invoice document is different and invoice no may come either up or down in the Invoice.
The second challenge is we have trouble reading the entire PDF through RPA Express Read function. We are trying other methods like copying and pasting it in a seperate word document, to read the contents of the invoice.
Is there any better way to do this. Please share your cell number, so that i can call you.
